THE CHALLENGE
Water systems only work when access and care continue.
Communities can face unreliable water access, pollution, damaged sources and weak maintenance arrangements. One-off cleanups or installations are not enough if responsibility disappears afterwards.
Who it supports: households, farmers, young people and communities whose daily wellbeing and livelihoods depend on reliable local water sources and healthy surrounding ecosystems.

The project is in early development. Current work is focused on clarifying priority locations, community needs, technical partners, practical interventions and who will maintain supported systems over time.

One step already taken: Community water action has included local cleanup and reflection activities that are informing our stewardship approach.
